Welcome to Into the West! We are a Middle-Earth based site that focuses on retelling the events of the Hobbit, Shadow of Mordor, and the Lord of the Rings in a three arc epic with your characters to see how they alter the fate of Middle-Earth. Through the actions of your characters, Middle-Earth has a chance to become better or worse. Perhaps thanks to you, the War of the Ring sees a much stronger Free Peoples fighting against Sauron. Or maybe it's because of you that we're all doomed, who knows? Please read through our rules and other site essentials to see if this is a good site for you. A part of the Shire, one of the older villages and can roughly be found in the center of the Shire. Hobbiton is the home of many esteemed and respectable Hobbits. A river runs under a bridge through the village, and the Old Mill is located here. It is considered the prime real estate for any Hobbit that wishes to be seen as respectable.

Technically in Bywater. The Green Dragon Inn is a tavern that is actually considered somewhat respectable, at least as taverns go. Not exactly fit for ruffians and wenches, those who come to the Green Dragon often do so with the intent of socializing, having a good half pint, and generally speaking of the events of the day. It's quaint, comfortable, and sociable.
