MITHRANDIR (FAUNTRIEL) | ALIAS THE GREY WITCH | GENDER FEMALE | AGE -UNKNOWN (OLD AS F---) | RACE -MAIA | BIRTH SEASON -UNKNOWN | SEXUALITY -STRAIGHT BUT NOT INTERESTED | OCCUPATION -GREY WITCH | ALLIANCE -GOOD |
| DETAILS - Alignment: Neutral/Good
- Personality:Fauntriel is a hard working woman, and very curious about anything and everything around her, often to the point of nosey-ness. However, she is very prickly when it comes to interacting with others, her abrasive no nonsense attitude often rubbing people the wrong way. She is not easily pushed around and told what to do, and her curt honesty can be almost brutal at times. There are those moments when she gains enough sense to realize she might have been rude or hurtful, and she is always careful to make council and show she only meant it to help. Although she seems like a bit of a recluse and grouch at times, especially in early mornings, beneath her old wrinkly skin is a fairly kind and selfless individual. She will go out of her way to help others in anyway she can, but never publicly, as she despises being placed in any sort of limelight and knows better than to show off her true self.
Toward her work, which is selling firecrackers and perfumes, she is incredibly focused and task oriented. Everything has to be done in order, at least when it applies to the fireworks and perfume. When it comes to writing or solving a mysterious problem, its best to just let her do it, because she will comb through your work with a critical eye, criticize your wrongs, and go back to adjust it so it is 'perfect'. As for anything regarding a mission she might be focusing on at hand, she almost throws caution out the window for the sake of completing the quest and doing what she thinks will benefit Middle Earth. Almost, as common sense seems to take hold of her wits before she does anything drastic. - Appearance: Tall would be the first word to describe the maia. Standing at exactly 6'2, she towers over most women and men and this only adds to make her seem more imposing, which she uses to her advantage (Someone has to keep those dwarves in check!). Her hair is long, grey, and softly curled, however she mostly keeps it covered under a veil, just so it will stay out of her way. Her smile is coy and mysterious, as if she is hiding a playful secret, and her eyes are as blue as the depths of a lake. She has delicate hands, upon which Narya rests on a finger among other rings. She wears dresses, with long pants underneath, and a grey cloak that has a hood to cover even her veil. Fauntriel always carries her staff with her, which is made of a deep grey wood that wraps around a rather large crystal at the very top. The only other clear weapon she has is a sword hidden under her cape which few know the name to, and even fewer still know is there.

| BACKGROUND - Homeland: Valar
- History: Alright, lets make this quick. I came into being in the Undying Lands, long before anyone existed, even the elves. I was one of the Maiar, servants to the Valar, and I was more specifically the servant of Nienna, Manwe, and Varda. Is it true that I am the wisest of the Maiar, I'm not entirely sure as I don't ponder on trivial things such as that. However, do know this, I was wandering Middle Earth long before I was sent here, learning from you all and watching your races all mature.
However, Sauron came to Middle Earth, and of course had to ruin everything for everyone. Sure, I suppose his purposes were noble once, but now they are so twisted, I can no longer see him anymore. Manwe and Varda included me among the five sent as Istari, chosen to guide the people of Middle Earth into peace and all that wonderful stuff. We were given rules of course, no showing off our powers, no revealing ourselves in full glory (we have to be old people), and no leading the people or influencing them directly. I've got no problems with that, but personally I worry about these people as I'm not so sure they can simply lead themselves.
But I see hope among the hobbits, and the dwarves. There is news that the heir of the mountain is fixing to venture forth and reclaim what once belong to the mighty dwarves, but it now watched over by Smaug. I prepare to approach them, and help them, even if the White Council, which I am a part of and must answer to, deems it a bad plan. But if I must explain myself, I have all the words I need to say. I see a flame of hope, and I'm going to poke and prod that flame until it is a bonfire!
