Compendium
This is a list of the known abilities in Middle-Earth. Not much to say about that. The reason it's so sparse is because the way we are working it, abilities do not wind up here until they have been given out in the actual RP. Think like a Pokedex. Meaning you never know what you'll get! When you buy a ability, what you get is actually somewhat random (though still within reason.)
So get out there and get abilities and fill this up.
Physical Prowess
- A sign of greater strength. This character by nature has much greater physical strength than their colleagues, and is able to put it to dangerous use.
SP: Passive
Effect: +3 STR.
Spiritual Prowess
- A sign of greater spiritual strength. This character by nature has much greater spiritual strength than their colleagues, and can easily go beyond most others.
SP: Passive
Effect: +3 SPT.
Durable
- This character is much more durable, able to reduce physical damage better than others.
SP: Passive
Effect: +3 DEF.
Resilient
- This character is much more resilient, able to weather the storm of magic better.
SP: Passive
Effect: +3 RES.

- A sign of great hatred for the Human race. Said hatred is so great it confers a bonus when fighting humans.

- A sign of great hatred for the Elven race. Said hatred is so great it confers a bonus when fighting elves.

- A sign of great hatred for the Dwarven race. Said hatred is so great it confers a bonus when fighting dwarves.

Valorous
- This character isn't just brave - they're utterly fearless!
SP: Passive
Effect: Immunity to Chaos, Charm, & Hallucination.
Comfortable
- This character has a knack for being comfortable no matter the weather.
SP: Passive
Effect: Immunity to Burning & Freezing.
Looter
- This character doesn't really have the moral scruples about "due to the dead."
SP: Passive
Effect: Doubled money from quests & dungeons.
Treasure Hound
- This character won't accept your ordinary reward. Not without a fuss.
SP: Passive
Effect: Quest rewards for this character will receive a second roll if it's not a rare item.
Potential
- A sign of great potential. Those with this skill tend to come out stronger than most others at the same stage, but it comes at a rather drastic cost.
SP: Passive
Effect: Gain +1 extra point on every level but at the cost of permanently halved EXP.
Savant
- This character excels in one field to almost miraculous extents - to the detriment of everything else.
SP: Passive
Effect: Doubled EXP gain at the cost of -1 stat point per level.
Star Pupil
- This character takes to their lessons with gusto!
SP: Passive
Effect: Permanent -100 silver discount on Ability upgrades.
Jump Attack
- A simple jump attack that results in greater damage. When combined with backflipping, it's a great way to cheese bosses!
SP: 10 SP
Effect: Add 10 STR to the user's physical attack upon activation for that attack.
Spin Attack
- A quick, simple spin attack meant to handle multiple enemies. Try not to rotate too much.
SP: 10 SP
Effect: Damages all enemies around the user for the user's ATK + 5.
Slap
- With a burst of power, the user swings a mighty blow, dealing damage and sending the opponent soaring.
SP: 15 SP
Effect: Add 10 STR and Knockback to the user's physical attack upon activation for that attack.
Aimed Shot
- An especially accurate attack aimed with great care.
SP: 10 SP
Effect: Add 10 to the user's ranged attack upon activation for that attack.
Hawk Strike
- Fire off two arrows at once.
SP: 10 SP
Effect: Upon activation, the next attack will act as two attacks.
Second Wind
- Some people are just too determined to really stay down. At least a few times. When this character is brought down, they may rise again, but only once~
SP: Passive
Effect: Revive once with HP equvalent to the character's WPR stat when HP reaches 0.
Agi
- A minor fire spell.
SP: 10
Effect: Conjures a small fireball of the fire element with an attack ranking of the caster's SPT + 5.
Telepathy
- A cantrip that allows the possessor to freely hold mental conversations with others. Allowing communication even ovr long distances.
SP: Passive
Effect: Removes the need for silly things like talking.
Bufu
- A minor water spell.
SP: 10 SP
Effect: Conjures a small blast of the water element with an attack ranking of the caster's SPT + 5.
Bufula
- A moderate water spell.
SP: 20 SP
Effect: Conjures a pressurized gush of the water element with an attack ranking of the caster's SPT + 10.
Bufudyne
- A major water spell.
SP: 30 SP
Effect: Conjures a torrential downpour of the water element with an attack ranking of the caster's SPT + 20.
Garu
- A minor wind spell.
SP: 10 SP
Effect: Conjures a small gust of the wind element with an attack ranking of the caster's SPT + 5.
Garula
- A moderate wind spell.
SP: 20 SP
Effect: Conjures a strong, cutting wind of the wind element with an attack ranking of the caster's SPT + 10.
Garudyne
- A minor wind spell.
SP: 30 SP
Effect: Conjures a cutting windstorm of the wind element with an attack ranking of the caster's SPT + 20.
Dia
- A minor healing spell.
SP: 10
Effect: Heals a target by the caster's SPT + 5.
Diarama
- A moderate healing spell.
SP: 20
Effect: Heals a target by the caster's SPT + 10.
Diarahan
- A major healing spell.
SP: 30
Effect: Heals a target by the caster's SPT + 20.
Hama
- A weak light spell.
SP: 10
Effect: Conjures a flash of blinding light with an attack ranking of the caster's SPT + 5.
Hamaon
- A powrful light spell.
SP: 20
Effect: Conjures a flash of searing light with an attack ranking of the caster's SPT + 10.
Necromancy
- Powerful sorcery that is a trademark of the Black Numenóreans. This spell allows them to conjure the spirits of vengeful beings.
SP: 30
Effect: Summons 4 Wights
Poison Sting
- A spider has the natural ability to inject anyone they hit with their stinger with a dangerous venom that slowly eats at their insides.
SP: 10
Effect: Induces Poison, Burning & Stun.
Webbing
- A spider has the natural ability to shoot web, allowing them to wrap prey and store them for later.
SP: 10
Effect: Incapacitates character until they are cut free.
Savage
- A natural ability of a warg to tear apart its prey.
SP: 20
Effect: Adds + 5 to the Warg's attack and induces Bleeding.
Dragon Sickness
- A natural ability of a dragon to stink up anything they get their claws on. Requires a Willpower of 15 to stave off.
SP: Passive
Effect: Induces Charm and Hallucination.
Dragonskin
- A dragon's natural resilience. A weapon with a Dragonslayer rune will ignore this.
SP: Passive
Effect: Halves all damage taken.
So get out there and get abilities and fill this up.
