DREAMED OF PARADISE
EVERY TIME SHE CLOSED HER EYES
It had been a few decades since she had let set foot in Imladris, and she felt a familiar sense of longing to be back home. Cassandra had enjoyed her time with her grandmother these past few decades, of course! Lothlorien was one of the most beautiful places within Middle Earth, and she was blessed with calling the Lady of the Wood her grandmother and second mother. It had been quite liberating to shed the mask she always wore within Imladris, but she still had her duty towards her sisters and people. She had also heard tidings about the newest Heir to Isildur that had been raised with her family as well. What would this one be like? So many of them seemed to come and go with the centuries, but she had known many of them to be their own person with the burdens of their people upon their shoulders.
For now, she should focus more on the homecoming she seemed to have gathered. The gates to Imladris were open for her arrival, and the escort of guards surrounding her had dispersed somewhat to allow her the lead. Cassandra smiled with ease as she looked upon those gathered to welcome her home. Her family was a familiar sight that warmed her heart and assuaged the homesickness that had plagued her since her departure from Lorien. She slowed Ninim to a stop before her family as she bowed her head in greeting and gratitude. "Mae g'ovannen," she murmured sweetly. The elleth descended from her silver mare with grace as she pulled back the hood of her ivory cloak.
Her silver hair spilled down her back in moonlit strands, and her carmine eyes were bright with joy. Cassandra was content to be within the reach of her family once more. One figure was unknown to her at present, though. Well, perhaps unknown was the wrong word to use. His appearance and bearing were familiar to her in the sense of those that had come before him. Was this her newest foster brother to be raised in Imladris? Her pink lips were curled into a maidenly smile as she reached forward to grasp his hands fondly within her own. "I am glad to meet you at last, brother."
