Restoring the Kingdom of Arnor [Optional Site Arc!]

THE KINGDOM OF ARNOR

When the Witch-King destroyed Arnor in the Third Age before being driven out of Eriador, the region of Eriador fell, not into a state of collapse, but a state of decline. In present day, what was once the Kingdom of Arnor is comprised of Bree, the Shire, and the wilderness of Eriador where the Dúnedain remnants can be found. This motley crew (save for the Dúnedain) isn't much for fighting, and many yearn for the glory days of Arnor.

So why not reforge it?

Inspired by the option in popular mod Third Age: Total War for Medieval 2: Total War, one of the major (optional!) side quests during the Hobbit (& Shadow of Mordor) is the quest to restore the Kingdom of Arnor. Something to give those who aren't directly involved with the Quest for the Lonely Mountain and caught up in Sauron's return to Mordor to help get ready for the War of the Ring. If the Kingdom of Arnor were to be restored, not only would it be a step towards returning to days of glory, but if (when, remember LOTR) evil should ever return, there would be a vigilant guardian in the north-west, because the Elves can't be everywhere at once. Although...

Reforging Arnor before the timeskip would bring an entire nation and its military might in to play during the War of the Ring. While it wouldn't be in effect before the Lord of the Rings (reforged or not, Arnor still has to rebuild), after sixty years of rebuilding, Arnor would be able to field a standing army equivalent to the powerful army of Gondor in the south. The Heir of Isildur would take the throne and fully reveal themselves, taking their seat in Annúminas. It is most definitely not canon, but in an AU retelling, the chance to make things better than they were is always a fun option.

In order to reforge Arnor, the following objectives must be completed.

-THE BARROW DOWNS MUST BE RETAKEN [Hard] (Not done)
-THE COLDFELLS MUST BE RETAKEN [Hard] (Not done)
-LOND DAER MUST BE RETAKEN [Hard] (Not done)
-ANNUMINAS MUST BE REBUILT [Expensive] {500/5000 Silver raised} (Not done)
-THE HOUSE OF KINGS MUST BE REBUILT IN ANNUMINAS [Expensive] {0/5000 Silver raised} (Not done)

If you feel like donating some silver towards the House of Kings or the rebuilding of Annúminas, simply post in your shop thread saying so. Don't feel like this must succeed. It doesn't. If Arnor is not rebuilt in time, then when the War of the Ring begins, Eriador will simply be as it was in the canon. This is simply a questline to A) give other players than those directly involved with the main quests something to do and B) let those players have a major impact on Middle-Earth's future.

If you feel like taking a shot at one of these objectives, simply make the quest thread and add (Arnor restoration) to the title of the Quest. Don't worry if the quest fails, you can always try again.
